The same crew, the same family since 2015. We are based in Melbourne's western industrial corridor and we work right across Victoria — and we would rather tell you honestly that something is not a good fit than take a job we will not do well.

How we run jobs
SSD Paint & Texture is a family-owned and operated commercial and industrial painting contractor. The same people quote the job, organise it, and turn up to paint it.
We paint commercial and industrial work across Melbourne. What has stayed constant is the scale: we send a full crew, not a single painter. That is a deliberate choice. A single painter on a warehouse repaint turns a three-week job into a three-month one, and it means when six areas need doing at once you are getting one trade rather than six.
Our focus is commercial and industrial work. We also take on selected residential projects. Ask us. A warehouse at thirty degrees with live plant running is a different problem from a living room, and it deserves someone who has done it before. It also means the crew knows what an aisle width, a shutdown window and a tilt-up joint look like before we arrive.

How we work
The things we will and will not do
We will
- Tell you if a cheaper coating system would do the job as well.
- Tell you if the surface needs repairing before it is worth painting.
- Tell you if we are not the right contractor for it — including sending you to someone who is.
- Give you a written programme with dates we actually believe.
- Tell you if your shutdown window is not long enough for the work you want.
- Turn up when we said we would, and tell you early if we cannot.
We will not
- Paint over a leak, active rust or a wet slab and call it done.
- Send a subcontracted crew you have not met onto your site without telling you.
- Claim a variation we have not had confirmed in writing.
- Start before the SWMS is signed off.

Why we quote in 48 hours
Painting quotes sit on a shelf. The contractor who answers quickly gets the job, and the contractor who is thorough but slow gets told "we have gone with someone else".
So we write it properly, once, and send it to you inside 48 hours of our site visit. You still get a real quote with a real specification — we have just removed the dead time around it.
