Who we are

SS DEOL ENTERPRISES PTY LTD, ABN 99 639 811 564, is a family-owned commercial and industrial painting contractor based in Altona North, Victoria.

The ABN is the identifier Australian law uses for a business. Under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), an organisation with an ABN is identifiable, and this policy sets out how we handle personal information about you.

What we collect

When you use the quote form on this website we collect:

• your name
• your phone number
• your email address
• your company name, if you provide one
• the suburb or site address, property type, service required, approximate size, timing and working-hours preferences you select
• the description you write in the message box

If you send photos by email rather than through the form, we also hold those images and they are treated the same way. Photos of a site can incidentally reveal the location and sometimes the security arrangements of a building, so please do not send anything you would rather we did not hold.

Why we collect it

So we can contact you about your enquiry, inspect the site, and prepare and send you a written quote. That is the entire purpose — we rely on the permitted purposes of solicitation of personal information from a person to make a quotation, estimate or similar communication and the related provisions of the Privacy Act, and on your consent to be contacted about this enquiry.

We will not add you to a marketing list because you asked for a quote, and we will not pass your details to anyone else for marketing.

Who else receives it

Our website is hosted on GitHub. Form submissions are delivered using a third-party form service: what you type into the quote form is transmitted over an encrypted connection to Web3Forms, which forwards it to our email inbox. You can read their policy.

Where we engage a specialist subcontractor to carry out part of your job — for example rope access at height, which requires a separate accreditation — we will tell you before we do, and we will not disclose more of your information to them than they need to complete their part of the work.

We do not sell your information, and we do not disclose it to third parties except where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become projects are deleted once they can no longer reasonably lead to work.Enquiries that become projects are kept for as long as the contract requires, and afterwards for the period in which we may need to deal with a warranty claim under our 5-year coating warranty.

Cookies

This website does not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking pixels, or anything that follows you around other websites. You are not asked to accept a cookie banner because there is nothing to accept.

Two things do set small technical files: a spam-protection check when you submit the form, and standard server logs. Neither is used to track you across other websites.

Your rights

Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988 you can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, correct it if it is wrong, or delete it where we are not required to keep it. You can also complain about how we have handled your information to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

We will respond within a reasonable time and we will not charge you for it.

Security

This website is served over encrypted HTTPS and your enquiry is submitted over an encrypted connection. No system is perfectly secure, but we do not collect anything from you that we do not need in order to quote for and complete your work.
